Youth Garden Club @ Richmond Free Library

Help us keep the grounds looking great all summer and learn a thing or two about planting and tending flowers and vegetables. Then watch our salsa garden grow throughout the summer. Come to every meeting or just one. Ages 6-12.

Friday, June 26 from 11-Noon: Help us plan our salsa garden and plant tomatoes, peppers, onions, cilantro, and more. We’ll also plant flowers in the library gardens and sunflower seeds in pots for later transplanting.

Friday, July 17 from 11-Noon: We will be weeding, tending and filling in the gaps in the library gardens and our salsa garden. We will also transplant our sunflowers into the garden beds.

Friday, August 21 from 11-Noon: We will harvest what we need to make a most delicious salsa which we’ll enjoy with chips in the garden!
